You're not Canadian, are you?

I'm not bashing him, I do love him as a character. He's adorable and witty and smart (at least when it suits the situation!)

But the truth of the matter is, historically, France just didn't want Canada anymore, they even tried to sell it halfway through the war and no, it wasn't for the benefit of Canada, it was to save their own asses.
Keeping him as part of the family also makes no sense if you are aware of that. It's not a "headcanon" or something that is made up. It is something that Himaruya skipped over when writing their dynamics, and I know a lot of Canadians who are upset over how it was written. We don't hate France, that just isn't how it happened. How he wrote America's war for his independence wasn't how it happened either, but it was a hell of a lot more accurate than how he wrote the war between France and Britain for Canada. To think it' "just a headcanon that bashers make up" makes you really stupid.

If you actually read what I wrote up about the group, you would know that I do NOT tolerate bashing him here and anyone who does is booted from the group because that is NOT what this is about. He is a truly amazing character, and there are other places for him, this is just not that place and if anyone wants to bash him they can find another place to do so.

You would also realize that this group was created long before Himaruya had released anything about the war between France and Britain for Canada (which was called "New France" at the time).
